A Swift Half is part of my ‘Boozy Birds’ painting series. The swift is a superb flyer. Sleeping, eating, bathing and even mating on the wing, swifts rarely touch the ground. Unfortunately their numbers have decreased drastically in the UK since the 1980s and they are now on the red conservation list.
