Best Bittern is part of my ‘Boozy Birds’ painting series. The Bittern is one of Britain’s most elusive birds so a little unlikely to be creeping up on your pint of best bitter. They live in wetland areas, moving silently through reeds looking for fish. The males make an amazing booming cry in spring which can carry for miles.
